The NGAGA has established the National Guard Association of Georgia (NGAGA) The Order of James Oglethorpe.

The Order of James Oglethorpe honors private citizens and military patrons hereafter named “Legacy Donors” who promote the long term health of the National Guard Association of Georgia and National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) by donating Life Memberships to Georgia National Guard Company Grade Officers (CGOs).

The Order of James Oglethorpe is a 3-inch medallion with a red, white, and blue ribbon. The medallion is worn with dinner attire at the Annual NGAGA State Conference dinner and other NGAGA functions.

ATTENTION - TIME SENSITIVE INFORMATION!
One of the TAG's main priorities is to get our soldiers and airmen jobs.

ga piedmont_technical_college

Below are training opportunities for our unemployed or underemployed soldiers and airmen.  This training is free and the opportunity to be hired from one of the many apartment property management owners is very high.  This is a pilot program established in cooperation with the Lt Governor's office, the National Apartment Association Education Institute, and Georgia Piedmont Technical College (formerly known as Dekalb Technical College).  They are asking for 25 dedicated soldiers or airmen who are unemployed or underemployed to serve in this first class.  Once successful, they are willing to continue the process to open the door for many of our National Guardsmen.  This is a short fused action and needs immediate attention to identify the participants.

The ideal candidate is someone who has a desire to work in the maintenance field, can attend the training at the designated times below, has transportation, is dedicated and ready to get to work.  The chances of getting hired upon the completion of training is very high.  Typical benefits of those that are hired are 30+ K a year, 20% or higher apartment discount and potential to move up the ladder quickly.

I will need the following information from any interested soldier or airman:

  • Name
  • Rank
  • Has desire to work in maintenance field
  • Employment Status
  • Has transportation
  • Can attend all training
  • Email and Phone number

Candidate should be dedicated, dependable, and recommended by the Commander.  If you have several interested, please place in order of merit.  We only have 25 slots this class, but will add to the list to attend additional later classes.

I need this information NLT 12:00 Thursday 5 January 12.  You can send this information to me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
